Autopista La Plata Buenos Aires

Within the roads that make up the Access to the City of Buenos Aires, is the Autopista La Plata – Buenos Aires, characterized as a means of rapid transit, with controlled access, located in the coastal axis of the Metropolitan Region, part the corridor north – south linking the cities of Santa Fe, Rosario, Buenos Aires and La Plata. This highway is considered a coastal axis that funnels traffic crossing the coast near Rio de La Plata metropolitan area and its hinterland is characterized by having a population greater than 50% of the metropolitan region.

In July 1995 the first stretch between the City of Buenos Aires and the Municipality of Quilmes is enabled. In November of the same year the section is completed to Rotonda Gutiérrez, developing a path of 35 km. in length. The two lanes in each direction of movement enabled, allowed to interconnect the city of Buenos Aires in Avellaneda, Wilde, Bernal, Quilmes, Berazategui, and Florencio Varela Hudson, to the junction with the Centennial Trail through which we arrive at the city of La Silver and Route 2 connected to the Atlantic Coast, in September 2006 Bernal exit at km 17 was enabled.

The Concessionaire has undertaken important works from the initial authorization in 1995, the most relevant: Distributor Rotonda Gutiérrez (1996); the second stage of the bridge over the Riachuelo with access viaducts (1999); Distributor Berazategui (1999); new roads linking the Southeast Access Bridge height Sarandi (1997 and 1999); footbridges and intensive afforestation plan along entire route, where they have planted more than 16,000 specimens.

La Plata 21.5 km – In May 2002, the Hudson section is enabled. long, with two lanes of traffic. Lanes distribution is:

  • Since the beginning -km 3- (junction with Highway 25 May) to the vicinity of Santo Domingo Channel (km 12.5) has four lanes in each direction of movement.

In Toll Areas users have: public, health telephones, vending services, remises, public service and information number.

Areas of Service concession to Repsol YPF and Shell CAPSA offer office users fuels, lubricants, tire shop, toilets, mini markets, fast food, ATMs and public telephones.

Throughout the trace, are distributed, each approximately 700 m, the SOS posts, which allow the user communication with the Centre of Emergency (CAE).

The CAE is responsible for assisting users, serving light mechanical and trailer to the first exit, health care and emergency in case of accidents through continuing medical unit and information services relief.

Users also have the ability to perform queries and complaints to emergencies from any cell phone via short code * 288.
